Gratitude- The Inspiring Temples
LDS temples now dot the world map with about 140 operating temples at this time. The temples have a special purpose in bringing families together after this mortal journey. Many go to the temple as a refuge from the storms of life. It is a wonderful place to be at peace with God and man. It is a place of personal inspiration where God speaks to the heart of the honest seeker. Personally I am inspired by the beautiful temple grounds that I have been privileged to visit. I am grateful to have recently spent an early-morning hour at the Mount Timpanogos temple grounds in American Fork, Utah.
All Things Denote there is a God- God Touches the Sky
We often overlook the beauties that God puts before us each day. A friend sent me a text earlier this morning, wondering if I had noticed the clouds. She said, “It looks like God dropped his eraser on the sky today.” Indeed the clouds this morning had also caught my eye. I am thankful for the beauty that comes to us through God’s heavenly canvas.
Joy in the Journey- The Watch Ads- Take 2
Did you miss the Nixon Watch advertisement photo that James created while dressed-to-kill in a kayak? Well you won’t want to miss this one, the newest iteration of the Nixon Watch advertisement campaign. I love that James can find time to share his personality, while brightening the life of and bringing a smile to his family and friends. Thank you James for helping us enjoy the journey.
Gratitude- Temple Gardens
LDS temples are beautiful buildings, in large part because of the carefully-crafted grounds that surround each temple. All, whether of the LDS faith or not, are invited to visit the temple grounds of any of the 142 operating temples world-wide. They provide a peaceful, serene setting that will refreshingly take you out of the flow of our hectic world. Recently I spent an hour or so at the Oakland California Temple. It was time well-spent.
Joy in the Journey- A Gift before the Night
I love the colors of the sunset. Many evenings are absolutely spectacular. It is as if God is giving us a bright and beautiful gift before we head into the many hours of darkness that are part of the daily cycle of life. He gives us a wonderful memory to sustain us until the light again appears. May we appreciate the fleeting, yet remarkable color of life, that we can keep hope through life’s darker moments.
