I love the colors of the sunset. Many evenings are absolutely spectacular. It is as if God is giving us a bright and beautiful gift before we head into the many hours of darkness that are part of the daily cycle of life. He gives us a wonderful memory to sustain us until the light again appears. May we appreciate the fleeting, yet remarkable color of life, that we can keep hope through life’s darker moments.
Kevin, for some reason I failed to scroll down and see your beautiful words and picture before sending the response to your eamil. Your thoughts about the sunset are just beautiful and I often have similar thoughts as I watch another day fade into darkness. As you may recall in the frontispiece of my textbook, “Approaching Darkness,” I have used this as a metaphor of impending blindness. For those of us blessed with good sight, another dawn will come, and those with fading vision are blessed to have a doctor with your skill and compassion who can give them hope for seeing the dawn of another day. God Bless You!
