I love this quote by President Hinckley. I have found it to be true that we can truly be happier by focusing on the positive things in our lives and not on the “storms of life.”
This is a special time of year that has become increasingly more meaningful to me. What a great season as we gather as families for the holidays. First up, Thanksgiving Day. I am looking forward to it.
My heart is full of gratitude today for my dear family and loving friends. Since the news of David’s passing, our family has been the recipient of many, many forms of kindness and love. I am thankful for the way you have blessed our lives.
Since David’s disappearance, and especially now, we feel the anguish of not having our dear son with us. Our hearts are extremely grateful to many. We thank the police, the detectives and other authorities who have helped with David’s case. The coroner’s office has been very helpful and compassionate. During the past year, many people, and even strangers, have generously offered their time and services on our behalf. We have learned of the amazing ability of people to come together in a good cause. A dear friend commented how our family’s trial multiplied and magnified the good in everyone who became aware of David and our situation.
We are grateful for David and for his goodness. God has sustained us through the many prayers offered for our family by people of all denominations. We thank all who have helped us through this challenging time.
I am grateful for those special times when family and friends gather. I appreciate my loving and caring family and the opportunity to gather recently for my father’s 80th birthday. I put a few of weekend’s images together in the slideshow linked below. If you like the Miller family or if you like the Beatles, check out the slideshow.
