Gratitude365- Birthday Boys (KNM#236)
I am grateful to spend a few days with my father Ned and my son Michael who are both celebrating birthdays this week. It will be a great weekend as we are planning an extended family gathering on Saturday. I love my family very much and thank God for the blessing they are in my life.
Gratitude365- Sectionals (KNM#235)
I am grateful to be part of the 4.0 Men’s Senior Tennis team that represented Nevada this year. The sectionals tournament was in Boise where we competed against Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. It was a lot of fun. Idaho was the hot potato- they had a very strong team. Nevada made a good showing, coming in second. It was a fun-filled and emotion-filled weekend. In this image you will see a glimpse of the emotional catharsis that followed a very close Nevada win.
Gratitude365- Even in Boise (KNM#234)
We had reason to be in Boise this weekend. It was a wonderful convergence of events, family and friends. Today we attended church with Richard’s friends, the Iversons. I had a wonderful experience at church, a renewal of my soul. It was great to feel of God’s spirit. I am thankful I can have such experiences even far from home.
Gratitude365- les Mis (KNM#233)
Tonight we saw the play, les Miserables, It is a moving story about human weakness and the injustice of the world being overshadowed by love, forgiveness and mercy. One memorable line was “You did your duty, nothing more.” In other words, duty is not enough. We must also love. Another line at the end of the play was profound. “To love another person is to see the face of God.”

Gratitude365- Dancing with the Stars (KNM#232)
Last weekend we attended a party in the Rainbow Vista Ward- we celebrated independence day for many countries throughout the world. We found out that our Latin friends LOVE to dance. We witnessed formally prepared dances from several countries and then the informal, unscripted dances began. Many danced for what seemed like hours and they would have gone on for many more hours, given the opportunity. This beautiful dancer was part of the Mexican dance presentation. I am grateful I was part of this fun celebration.
