Gratitude365- Whatever it Takes (KNM#365)
Well, this is it. I started the Gratitude365 project well over a year ago, hoping to publish a post each day for a year on themes of gratitude. Although I have needed more time than expected to complete the “one year” project, I have been blessed by this process of looking for the blessings in my life. I understand more clearly now that one of the keys for our happiness is to appreciate, truly appreciate the positive in our lives. I will continue to post images and thoughts on my blog under various themes, including additional future posts on the theme of gratitude.
I have posted several times on my gratitude for my wife. She is an amazing companion and mother and it only seems fitting that my last post of this formal project relate again to Michelle. Our youngest son invited us to go rock climbing during our visit to Provo. Michelle had never done anything like rock climbing in her life. But she loves her sons and cherishes any opportunity to be part of their lives. She does whatever it takes to show them support and love. I am proud of her efforts today as she made her way up a steep rock wall. When the middle of the climb got tough, she would not quit but persisted and made her way to the top. I thank God for her and for my numberless blessings.
Gratitude365- Loving Reminders (KNM#364)
I have learned that having a grateful heart, really appreciating our blessings from God, is at the very core of our happiness during our daily journey. Sincere gratitude makes the world bright and the soul content. My wife, Michelle, shared a few emotional words of gratitude the other day. I had previously felt a bit melancholy, struggling to find the contentment I have enjoyed in the past. But Michelle’s few words of gratitude struck my heart and helped me see more clearly again. I am grateful for my dear wife and how she helps me be a better and happier person.

Gratitude365- Words from God (KNM#363)
I am grateful for the inspired words of our leaders. Elder Bruce Porter of the Seventy from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave a hopeful and inspired message at our most recent General Conference. As I have pondered my inner motivations, sixteen words from his talk strike at my heart. He said, “When our only desire is to please Him, we will be blessed with deep, inner peace.” What a wonderful goal to strive for!

Gratitude365- Family (KNM#362)
Today I give thanks for my wonderful family. We gathered for an extended reunion here in Las Vegas and had a great time together. I am grateful for the love, support and kindness I feel from my dear loved ones.

Gratitude365- God Knows Best (KNM#361)
At times I have tried to help God understand what I need. Was I not praying hard enough? Or did God not listen? Alas, I am grateful for perspective that comes through life’s experiences. God knows exactly what I need and allows mortal trials to shape my soul and bless me in the ways that matter most.
