Gratitude365- Out of the Park (KNM#62)

Who was the first one to bring together the delicious tastes of chocolate and strawberries? My dear friends, the Shaws, put these breautiful treats together this past weekend. They were fantastic!

Gratitude365- The Higher Laws (KNM#61)

This weekend I enjoyed the inspired general conference messages from the prophet, apostles, and other leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. President Uchtdorf, one of the apostles, gave a wonderful talk about the importance of ridding our lives of envy, anger, resentment, contention, revenge, and the jugment of others. These sins are sometimes not as obvious as more visible sins but nevertheless are some of the “weightier matters of the law”.

President Uchtdorf described a recently seen bumper sticker that said: “Don’t judge me because I sin differently than you.” What a great reminder that we all have our own set of struggles and sins. His talk in its entirety can be seen through the link below. I am grateful for the teachings of our prophet and apostles.

Gratitude365- Blessings From Unexpected Sources (KNM#60)

In the 9th chapter of John in the New Testament, the disciples of Jesus see a man who is blind from birth. They ask Jesus who had sinned to cause this blindness, the man or his parents. Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Yesterday, we were visited by our good friend Andrew. He is a special needs young man who has been our neighbor for many years. Andrew is amazing. He is filled with God’s love and he is perceptive in finding those that need to feel of God’s love through him. He has had a significant and positive influence on the lives of many. Indeed God’s works are being manifest through him.  I am grateful for Andrew.
